Emma Bass and iconic Hawke’s Bay winery Trinity Hill have paired to create the ‘EMMA’ Rosé, a light, floral and fruity wine inspired by their shared love of beauty and nature. The 2023 EMMA Rosé label artwork features roses from the garden of Emma’s father, a retired cardiologist. Roses are traditionally planted on the edges of grapevines to indicate potential problems with the vines; they are beautiful, protective and perceptive.

A former nurse, Emma's work is now present in many healthcare settings, uplifting both patients and staff, promoting wellbeing and calm. When given the opportunity to create an artwork that contributes to and raises awareness for the remarkable work done by hospices, Emma leapt at the chance.
Both Emma and Trinity Hill’s creations pay homage to the natural cycle of life - Emma’s use of flowers, and the life of a working vineyard, revolve around the cycles of birth, growth, and eventual demise. In Emma’s case the flowers she uses wilt and fade, and at Trinity Hill, the vines flourish anew each year; they fade after harvest, hibernate over winter and burst into life again in spring.,
Trinity Hill is a world-renowned winery with a history of over 25 years of winemaking in the famed ‘Gimblett Gravels’ district of Hawke’s Bay. Their respect for the unique soils and continual lifecycle of their vines creates award-winning premium wines. They are particularly well-known for crafting food-friendly wines; the EMMA Rosé is a deliciously light variety that pairs well with nicoise and Greek salads, soft cheese, or cured salmon. The wine has aromas of bright fresh violets, forest flowers intermingled with delicate rose petals. The palate is bursting with intense fresh red fruits, plum and spice, with a creamy texture and tangy acidity on the finish giving the wine vibrancy and freshness.
