Interview with Blooming Haus, London
I was so honoured to be interviewed by Michal and Michael of Blooming Haus for their In Bloom series. They’re the London florists behind some of fashion’s biggest floral moments, from Vogue to Chanel. We first met back in June at the University of Surrey, at the first workshop on research into how humans respond to flowers, and managed to find an afternoon together before we flew home.
The brief was simple: same vases, same flowers, a composition each. We talked about the healing power of flowers, how I came to do what I do now, and our work with The Floral Effect Project.
It was the hottest week in June and we’d come straight from a New Zealand winter, so I’ll admit my arrangement was a bit of a hot mess. Wilting sunflowers and all. Perfectly imperfect, as I always say.
Thank you both for having us. Flowers matter. 🌸
